Six feared dead as ambulance crushes into tipper truck (PHOTOS)



At least six persons on board an ambulance truck are feared dead in a gory accident which occurred at Apowa –Beahu stretch of road in  Ahanta West district, western region.

The gory accident which occurred just this afternoon has claimed the life of two nurses, a sick person, two relatives of the sick person and a co-driver of the ambulance.

The accident occurred when the ambulance which was conveying a sick person from Axim to Effia Nkwanta Hospital, mysteriously lost it balance and collided with an articulated truck with the 
registration number GT - 7348-15.

The accident left, the ambulance with the registration number GV 1453 – 14 being  crushed and shredded into parts with sight of lifeless bodies.


An eyewitness who narrated the event leading to the accident said the ambulance was conveying a sick person from Discove to Effia Nkwanta Hospital upon reaching Beahu, the cars were trying to pave way for the ambulance truck.
 
But the ambulance truck was coming at a very high speed.  Unfortunately the passenger tire lost balance and veered off it path and collided with the articulated truck.
